Barça Ready for Historic Game at Partially Completed Camp Nou over the weekend
The club confirmed they will play at the partially upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months since relocating so building work could begin.
“We envisioned this comeback. The moment has arrived. Home again at Spotify Camp Nou.”
The stadium will not be at full capacity but 45,401 spectators will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. Once fully finished, it will accommodate close to 105,000 fans, increasing from the former 99,000. Barça announced recent additions comprise a new players’ tunnel plus modern locker rooms.
Stadium Testing
The club conducted a public practice on the home pitch earlier this month. The club said they are seeking authorization from Uefa for their upcoming Champions League fixture against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
