Plane Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Fracture in Cockpit Window
A jet transporting the US defense secretary was required to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was identified in the jet's front window, per an official announcement which verified that all passengers were secure.
"The plane landed based on established safety measures and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is unharmed," a spokesperson stated in a social media post.
Hegseth was returning from a short visit to Brussels when the incident occurred.
This incident is not the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a senior official has experienced equipment failures.
Earlier this year, a United States Air Force aircraft transporting the US Secretary of State to the German city of Munich was forced to return to Washington DC after suffering a technical issue.
